Network Rail was proposing to improve the railway between Oxford and Bedford, and Milton Keynes, Aylesbury and Princes Risborough by upgrading disused and underused rail track to provide a new rail link between these important conurbations, and provide additional routes and capacity for both passengers and freight.
On completion, this new rail link will connect the Great Western, Chiltern, West Coast and Midland Main Lines north of London and become a vital strategic rail link in Britain’s rail network.
As a part of this proposal, Network Rail was running a series of public consultations. We supported this event by developing an app to collect feedbacks from public. This app was available on web, Apple appstore and Google play store which helped in a significant increase in public engagement than traditional consultation methods.
My role in this project included leading the development team on this project, helping the team in sprint planning and running daily SCRUM calls.
